A Winston Bamboo rod is one of the great experiences in all of fly fishing. Cane has been part of Winston since the company's founding in 1929, when Robert Winther and Lew Stoner began innovating with the material and eventually patented the hollow-fluting process that Winston's craftspeople still use today. Each rod is a handcrafted heirloom, built one strip at a time in Twin Bridges, Montana.

The craftsmanship is legendary and the performance is something every serious angler should feel at least once: a wonderfully smooth, deep, deliberate action capable of very delicate, very precise presentations, all wrapped in that distinctive Winston feel. Because these rods are built to order by hand, availability and timeframes vary, so please call the shop or your nearest dealer to talk through current options. Bamboo is not just a rod; it is a connection to the roots of the sport.
