The Big Game is Redington's brand-new big-fly rod (January 2026) — a deep-loading fast-action blank in nano resin graphite, built to throw streamers, bass bugs, pike flies, and musky meat all day. The two biggest models wear a figure-8-style composite cork handle made for torquing a fly through the water at the boat, plus a full ceramic guide train tuned for sinking lines up to 700 grains.

We stock the complete Big Game lineup — all ten models, deep. Finish: Blued Steel.

Why the 8'3" models? Short rods lever big fish harder and are easier to fish from a boat all day. If most of your casts are under 60 feet from a drift boat or bass boat, the 8'3" is the smarter pick; the 9-footers buy you distance and line control from the bank.

Key features

  • Powerful, deep-loading fast action — nano resin-impregnated graphite
  • Chrome-plated stainless guides with ceramic-insert strippers (full ceramic train on musky models)
  • Hidden hook keeper machined into the reel seat
  • Jam nuts with exaggerated knurling — tacky grip with wet or slimy hands
  • Corrosion-resistant anodized aluminum reel seat on all models
  • Alignment dots; high-denier nylon tube with dividers included

Headed for saltwater instead? The Redington Predator Salt (also on our site) is the same nano resin technology dressed for the flats and blue water, 6 through 14 weight.

Reel pairing: the Behemoth 9/10 or 11/12 is the natural match — we stock every size.

Warranty: Redington original-owner lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
