The Competition Kit is an optional add-on for the #3 and #4 Echo Shadow II, made for anglers who want to fine-tune balance for long days of Euro nymphing and competition fishing. Small changes in swing weight and balance point add up over hundreds of drifts, and this kit gives you the parts to get it exactly right.
Inside you will find two 6-inch extensions, a removable fighting butt, and counterweight washers to shift the balance point toward your hand. Everything lives in its own mini rod sock that velcros to your Shadow II sock, so it travels seamlessly inside the rod tube.
