The 2.0 version trades the original magnetic release for a quick release side buckle, so strong wind or a heavy reel will not knock your rod loose, yet one pinch still frees it. A thermoformed molded cradle fits any size handle, and a webbing loop with a polytube overlay holds the butt of a standard rod or a fighting butt. An upper magnetic closure adds stability when it rides on a backpack.
