Korkers' own description of the Greenback is hard to improve on: easy on the wallet, loaded with features. It is the entry point into their interchangeable-sole system, and it still ships with two complete outsoles — which is more than most boots at any price give you.

This package includes felt and Kling-On sticky rubber soles.

At 7 inches and 2 lb 8 oz per pair, the Greenback is also the lowest-cut and lightest boot in the OmniTrax line — which many anglers actively prefer. A lower cut means more ankle mobility and less weight to drag through a long day.

Why two soles is the whole point. Felt grips slick, algae-covered rock better than any rubber. It is also the best-known carrier of whirling disease spores and didymo between drainages, because it stays wet and holds mud for days. With Korkers you do not have to choose: fish felt on your home river, then clip on the Kling-On rubber before heading to another drainage. A minute, no tools — toe clips in, heel strap secured, step down.

Being straight about the trade: the Greenback has a simpler upper and less ankle structure than the Darkhorse, Devil's Canyon, or River Ops. If you wade heavy water like the Gunnison Gorge, or you are hard on gear, spend up. For most trout fishing — walking banks, moderate wading, a few miles a day — this is a great deal and the sole system is identical.

Warranty: Rock Solid Guarantee, minimum one year on defects, OmniTrax soles included. Rust and corrosion damage, particularly saltwater, is excluded. Korkers publishes no country of manufacture.

Sizing: whole sizes only. Boots go over wader booties — plan on about a full size above your street shoe. Extra soles are sold separately, are unisex, and must match the boot size. Bring your waders to the shop; call 970-964-9991 and we will have sizes ready.
