The LIRS #3 brings PEAK's Large Iron Retention System down to everyday trout and bass hook sizes, holding wire up to .095 inches. It is the entry point into the Jurassic Series and a genuine upgrade over a conventional friction jaw for anyone tying streamers, articulated patterns and heavier nymphs.
Instead of pinching the hook between two parallel faces, the LIRS drawbar captures the hook and holds it positively, so it does not creep when you put tension on the thread.
