If you ask a guide what they wear, this is usually the answer. Simms calls it guide-trusted GORE-TEX, Bozeman-built for long seasons, and it is the wader that built their reputation.
Made in the USA of imported materials, and individually tested for waterproofness before it leaves the building. Only the G3 and the G4Z carry a USA build statement — everything below them in the line does not.
Construction: 3-layer GORE-TEX through the upper, 4-layer GORE-TEX Pro through the lower where the abuse happens. Simms claims the current generation is 33% more breathable and 23% more puncture resistant than the previous one. Weight: 50.1 oz (1,420 g) in Medium.

Worth being precise about the fabric. The G3's upper is standard GORE-TEX; the G4Z uses GORE-TEX Pro top and bottom and adds the waterproof front zipper. Some marketing material blurs this. If you want the Pro shell throughout and a zip, the G4Z is the step up and we stock it. If you want the guide standard without the zipper, this is it.

Sizing — how Simms does it
- The bootie size is built into the wader size: “L 9-11” is a large with a 9–11 bootie
- King means roughly two extra inches of girth, not extra length
- Inseam is chosen separately: Short, Regular, or Long
- Large is the one size offered with two different booties — 9-11 or 12-13
